The five-day Confined Space Rescue Team Leader course provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively lead industrial rescue teams. This course is customized to reflect the rescue processes used in specific industrial environments. At the conclusion of this course, Team Leaders should be able to administer a team and provide their team with refresher training as needed.
The focus of the course will be on confined space rescue operations training but the principles covered will apply to a wide range of industrial rescue scenarios. This course will also provide multiple opportunities to apply advanced high angle rope techniques to industrial confined space rescue operations.
All students will receive a Rescue Training Leader’s Guide.
This course has been designed to meet the requirements of NFPA 1670 7.1 through 7.3.
Prerequisites: Before attending Confined Space Rescue Team Leader training, students need to have completed confined space entrant and attendant training, fall protection training, and have a background in rope rescue. In addition, they need to have previous training or a background in First Aid/CPR, Respiratory Protection, and Hazardous Materials. Students must disclose any physical limitation that impacts their ability to perform rescue activities.
