Does your facility require a industrial rescue team? What OSHA standards require some kind of emergency response procedures? If your facility needs some level of
emergency response, how do you develop these capabilities? What types of procedures, equipment, and training is needed? Or should it be out sourced?
These are some of the questions we'll be answering at the 2018 Cascade Occupational Safety and Health Conference in Eugene during our March 6th
presentation: Confined Space and Industrial Rescue: How and How Much?
Presented by D2000 Safety CEO, Jim Johnson, we'll start with a discussion of how technical rescue relates to a company's overall emergency response procedures and the various OSHA rules that require some type of rescue. We'll then define the various levels of technical rescue as defined by the NFPA and other organizations.
Learning how to evaluate your organization's work operations and environments to determine the possible complexity of any anticipated rescue is an important aspect of this presentation. We'll finish up with a discussion of the costs in time and resources to train, equip, and develop the needed procedures for an on-site technical rescue team that meets the location's anticipated needs.
At the conclusion of this two and a half hour presentation we expect the participants to be able to make informed decisions about the need to provide technical rescue and the level of technical rescue appropriate for their circumstances.
