This course teaches students how to conduct a variety of confined space low angle retrieval rescues in permit-required confined spaces. Low angle rescues are defined as those in which the ground supports the rescuers and patient. The operations may require lifting or sliding the patient along steep angles. To perform these operations safely, rescuers must develop pre-plans, conduct practice rescues, inspect and maintain equipment, and coordinate with other emergency responders.
This class usually requires eight hours.
Prerequisites: Before attending this class, students need to have completed confined space entrant/attendant training.
This class can be taught at your location.
