Rescue Training

These Rescue Operations classes build a basic capability needed at most industrial locations. The goal is to ensure the safety of team members while building the skills and knowledge needed in the students' specific work environment. Confined Space Rescue Operations Training

This confined space rescue operations training teaches students how to conduct rescues in their location's permit-required confined spaces. Maintaining and developing this rescue capability requires:

  • Developing and updating pre-plans
  • Conducting practice rescues
  • Inspecting and maintaining equipment, and
  • Coordinating with other emergency responders.

Prerequisites: Before attending this class, students need to have completed confined space entrant and attendant training. In addition, members of the team need to have previous training or a background in First Aid and CPR.

Fall Protection Rescue Operations Training

This course teaches students how to retrieve workers who have fallen from elevated work locations and are suspended from personal fall arrest systems. This class is intended for general industry and construction environments and examines ways of accessing and lowering a suspended co-worker in relatively uncomplicated situations.

Prerequisites: Student who take this class need to have previously completed basic fall protection training.

Tower Rescue Operations Training

This course teaches students how to perform organized, systematic rescues from a variety of towers including wind turbines, radio, radar, microwave, electrical, transmission, water, and lighting structures.

Prerequisites: Students who attend this class must have basic rope skills including knot-tying, constructing anchors, and operating mainlines and belay lines.

Surface Mine Rescue Training

The purpose of this course is to meet the requirements for a surface mine search and rescue team.

Prerequisites: Students attending this class must have previously completed confined space and fall protection safety training.

Trench Rescue Training

Our Trench Rescue training teaches students how to respond safely to these emergencies and perform organized, systematic rescues from collapsed trenches and excavations.

Prerequisites: Students should have current First Aid and CPR certifications.

Wind Turbine Rescue Training

This wind turbine rescue training teaches students how to perform organized, systematic rescues from wind turbines. These techniques are also applicable to other types of towers including radio, radar, microwave, electrical, transmission, water, and lighting structures.

Prerequisites: Before taking this class, students must have completed fall protection training. They should also have current First Aid and CPR certifications.
