o Remaining within 25-feet of a ladder or other means of evacuation.
o Recognizing the signs and symptoms of a hazardous atmosphere.
o Recognizing the signs of a possible failure of the excavation.
o Not attempting to rescue co-workers in the event of a cave-in.
o Increasing one's chances of survival in the event of becoming trapped by a cave-in.
