The purpose of this program is to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to perform your duties as a scaffold safety competent person. This includes safely erecting, inspecting, and dismantling commonly-used supported scaffolds.
Whe you have completed this training you should be able to:

Define and list the requirements for frame, tube and clamp, and system scaffolding.

Safely erect frame scaffolding and describe the safety requirements.

Safely erect tube and clamp scaffolding and describe the safety requirements.

Safely erect system scaffolding and describe the safety requirements.

Calculate expected loads on scaffolds.

Perform scaffold and scaffold component inspections.

Train workers who assemble, disassemble or work on scaffolds.

Provide fall protection and falling object protection.
Course materials include a complete student manual, along with checklists and forms that are essential for any comprehensive fall arrest program.
Students successfully completing the program will receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible for IACET Continuing Education Units.
