Product News: New Helmets from PetzlNew Helmets from Petzl

With the recent release of the Vertex helmets, Petzl has achieved a new standard for comfort and safety. Two versions of the helmets are available; a standard helmet and a ventilated model. Both have been certified to the ANSI Z89.1 - 2003 type I class E standard.

The ventilated version provides greater comfort in warmer weather but does not provide protection from electrical contact or molten metal, as does the unventilated version.

Both feature a robust chin strap that decreases the risk of losing the helmet in the event of a fall, and a tough polycarbonate shell.

One of the great features of these helmets is the custom fit they can provide. They feature:

* A single adjustment wheel with 2 height positions to adjust adjusts the headband size
* Chin straps that can be adjusted forward or backward,
* An adjustable chin strap and adjustable straps around the wearer's ears.

Additional levels of comfort are provided by the polyester strap suspension and a replaceable, thick foam headband.

The full line of the helmets we offer can be found on our helmets page.
